Feeling the urge to explore Baltimore and find out what delicious meals you’ve been missing? There’s a lot more to the Baltimore foodie scene than crab cakes. We’re excited about the summer return of Baltimore Restaurant Week and its knockout lineup.
Best of all, this year’s restaurant week has grown in both size and diversity. From pizza and burger joints with cult followings to the more upscale steakhouses and French bistros, there is truly something for every taste.
And of course, we can all get our fill of the best crab cakes on earth.
A Taste of Baltimore
While most restaurant weeks around the country focus on fine dining with elaborate prix-fixe menus, Baltimore’s event also showcases some of the best brunch and lunch spots in town.
Highlights of Baltimore Restaurant Week 2017 include:
- More than 90 participating restaurants and growing
- $20 to $35 for three-course dinners
- $12 to $20 for two-course brunch or lunch
- Includes some of the most popular fine dining in Baltimore such as Fogo de Chão, La Cuchara, Capital Grille, and Sotto Sopra
- Casual, lower-priced options at SoBo Cafe, Cava Mezze, and The Food Market
- Brunch options include Gunther & Co., Blue Hill Tavern, The Elephant, and Miss Shirley’s
If a restaurant you already love participates in Restaurant Week, it’s a great opportunity to indulge in a chef-selected menu at a cost that is typically well below the normal price of ordering a la carte.
On the other hand, we find each year that exploring new options is the best way to enjoy Baltimore Restaurant Week. Break out of your routine with an exotic cuisine, or perhaps book a table with a view of the harbor and see Charm City in a whole new light.
For those visiting Baltimore during Restaurant Week, we strongly recommend making reservations for your meals due to the larger-than-average crowds. The event website includes handy links to each restaurant’s online booking system.
